Join the City of Webster Groves Green Space Advisory Commission to learn from local expert Joe Steensma about birds and the environment in Webster Groves and nearby communities.

Dr. Steensma has been an avid birder since 1977 when he witnessed an owl devouring a squirrel one day when he was supposed to be at school. He is the author of two books: A Guide to Birds of North Andros Island and A Guide to Finding Birds Along the Illinois River Flyway. When he is not birding with friends and family, he teaches environmental health in the public health program at Washington University in St. Louis.
