Ms. Perkins started her career as a consulting arborist providing tree inventories, risk assessments, tree ordinances, and support to cities across the Midwest.  Additionally she spent 10 years as the Utah Urban and Community Forestry Coordinator, where she managed statewide urban forestry programs, contracts, and grants, and established strong partnerships with community leaders, universities, non-profits, and industry professionals at the local, regional, and national levels.  She is an ISA Certified Arborist with a Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ), and has a bachelor's degree in Forestry from University of Missouri.  Ms. Perkins currently works as a Principal Consulting Arborist with DRG, Inc.

    I’m so sad I missed this event, but will be hoping for a second chance. When I read the headline I thought “Why would anyone want to kill a tree intentionally?” but then I realized what it was about. I’m an arborist too and have lots of respect for Ms. Perkins. She paved the way for tree care specialists like me.
