Saturday, October 26, 2019 is Make a Difference Day, a call to action.  Make a Difference Day is a national day of community service.  Participate in this day of good deeds along with your friends and neighbors in Webster Groves by removing honeysuckle at Shady Creek Nature Sanctuary. 

We are looking for 100 volunteers on this day.  If you are available to help, please preregister in advance below.  Bagels and coffee will be provided by Great Rivers Greenway at the event. Lunch will be provided by the Webster Groves Lion’s Club at the Webster Groves Recreation Complex, 33 E Glendale, from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.  Free Make A Difference Day T-shirts are available for participants upon request by contacting Steve Clark at [email protected] or 314-963-5623.

Things to bring:

• waiver form
• water bottle
• sunscreen
• bug spray
• snacks
• hat 
• sturdy walking shoes
• dress in layers

Please dress for the weather. Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes that they do not mind getting dirty. Closed toe shoes are required, and pants are recommended. Gloves and safety glasses are required and will be provided by Great Rivers Greenway.  Please bring a refillable water bottle. Tools will be provided.
